Fairy Tales and Renaissance…

My favourite place outside Paris is for sure the Loire Valley, one of the most interesting regions of France if you are passionate about History like me. The region abounds with almost 3000 castles along the Loire River but of course I have my favourite ones: Chambord, Chenonceau, Blois, Cheverny and Amboise – Clos Lucé. Together, we will choose 2 (or 3 depending on the day). Get ready to dive deep into French History, Architecture, Art and Lifestyle. This is a perfect match for a full day in Versailles, by the way.

Fresh air, Gothic abbey, great views…

Le Mont Saint Michel is, in my opinion, one of the most mysterious monuments of French heritage. This abbey is the result of hundreds of years of construction and restauration processes, several rooms piled up onto each other. If you have followed the Notre Dame – Sainte Chapelle – Conciergerie Tour you’ll be able to understand this complex period named « Middle Ages » in France as not a lot of people do. You should definitely visit this architectural gem only 4 hours away from Paris. We can adapt this tour and visit the city Honfleur or the Étretat Cliffs or the D-DAY beaches.

Wine/ Champagne Tastings and French History

This is where you will find the City of Reims and its Gothic Cathedral, where kings of France were coronated since Clovis in the 5th century. It is here also that you will be able to taste discover much more about this famous « sparking wine » (rumours has it) created for the first time by Dom Pérignon. We will choose together, and this depending on availability, the Champagne house that suits you the best. And don’t forget: Champagne regions has much more to offer.

Flowers and colours…

Just one hour away from Paris, Giverny Gardens in Monet’s House is definitely one of the most delightful experiences in France. The iconic painter created his own little world, full of colour, light, nature, everything that his own art is about. This is your chance to understand a little bit about Impressionism and at the same time get to know him as a person a bit better. That’s a perfect match for an Orsay Museum Tour as well.
